Book Review: Informal Learning in Organizations by Robin Hoyle

Robin hits the nail on the head within the first few pages of the bookcover72262-small, “In 21st-century organizations, learning is not an optional extra but a process that is embedded in the everyday.” Although he does not discount “formal” learning, he recognizes that training courses must, “take some tentative steps to try things out, to experience through trial and error, to reflect on lived experience and to discuss and connect with others.” I highly recommend this book to everyone trying to cultivate a learning organization.
